Great Western Trail -Eastern Portion

The Great Western Trail, like the Illinois Prairie Path, is a "rail-to-trail." Old abandoned rail lines from the de-industrialization of the United States are being repurposed this way -a good thing.  Check out Rails To Trails Conservancy at RailsToTrails.Org.
